Ann Returns

What a WONDERFUL past week we've had. Picked up Ann on Wednesday and she took Jane to the park while I made dinner. It was so weird to make dinner in such a quiet house.

Thursday we went up to Wisconsin to visit with Brandt's cousins, Brian and Julie. We stopped on the way to get Wendy measured for her DOC Band and then hit up the Pleasant Prairie outlet mall. We had pizza and visited and then went out for Dairy Queen. When we finally got home we were all tired and just about ready for bed.

Friday we relaxed at home in the morning while Brandt went to the doctor and then Ann and I headed to Costco while the girls slept. We also stopped at Lowe's and Ann treated us to a lighting fixture to go above our sink. Brandt sat/laid on Ann's brownie as he installed it. He wasn't happy installing it and was even more unhappy when we told him the missing brownie was on his back. Ann ate it anyway :)

Saturday we went to Brunch at M. Henry's (SOOOO good) and went for a 2 hour bike ride around Evanston (with a stop at the park). That night Ann and I went to a Relief Society activity for the 170th birthday.

Sunday we biked to church and then came home for a nice corned beef and pierogi dinner.

Monday morning we all, sans Brandt, went to the beach. Jane had a blast playing in the sand. After Jane's nap we went to Chinatown for a yummy lunch/dinner and then walk around looking at sculptures and Ann bought Jane a little doll that looked JUST LIKE HER. Her name right now is Elizabeth Jane. We'll see how long that sticks.

The weather was AMAZING, the food was DELICIOUS and the company was WONDERFUL. We love it when Ann visits. Jane especially had a wonderful time playing with "Gamma Binkahoff" in the dirt and rocks. It was cute to see Jane's imagination and to see her having so much fun. I don't think I've ever bathed her so much in such a short amount of time.

Here's a picture she took of us playing with Wendy... thought it was a cute memory.

That is a really cute memory. I'm always a little bit sad that we don't really have a lot of pictures of the two of us doing something with Katie. Someone's got to take the picture, right? Also, you look really cute in the picture, so that's always an added bonus. :)

So I've been out of blogging world for a while (thanks to work and not wanting to be on the computer a moment longer than needed.) Ummm...Wendy is ADORABLE! Oh my word. I can't even say how cute. So exciting your little family of four. Hope you guys are well!
